Oh For F**k's Sake
I vote.  I vote all the time.  And I tend to vote for Democrats because I agree with their social policies more frequently than I agree with those held by Republican candidates.  But were I a different person I would start voting for Republicans out of spite.

I'll just pretend this is brilliant social satire and go wash the shrill off of my eyeballs now.

I think they must have changed vids since your post - I didn't realize that the Situation planning to tie the knot with her baywatchness would do that to you...

(although, really, that must be like putting a hotdog down the WATER MAIN...)

Nope, that's the right one. Here's a synopsis:

Fake newscast of Situation/Anderson wedding is hijacked by freedom fighters from the year 2020-something who are broadcasting out of their freedom basement, each of whom has a name that's a series of corporate brand names (Becca Petco-Arby's Bananarama Teeter, say), and who plead for right(left)-thinking persons who JUST AIN'T MOTIVATED to vote this time to hit the polls, HARD, since this is the election where everything goes to hell. And then there are some pictures of tanks rolling over penguins and food shortages for bears, and more crazy freedom fighters show up and talk about how this election is the last gasp of good sense before the democratic process is thoroughly corrupted by Bad People With Money. Then there is Corporate Evil and all hope is lost.

I think that's about verbatim.

Seriously, the minute it asks for my name I'm out of there. So I have no idea what is after the hoop jumping.

Opt out of the "name" and "Facebook" crap... there's a link at the bottom (I gave neither).

I strongly recommend doing a couple of shots before watching.

Oooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkk.....

I mean, I'm all for "get out the vote" and whatnot, but seriously? Seriously?!?! I think the Dems think we're stupider than the Repubs do... :(

Dunno what to say to that. On the one hand, yeah it's fairly irritating to folks who DO vote. On the other, it's aimed at getting the younger kids out to the polls, and it probably works better on people who haven't ever voted before, who are wondering if they should even bother. I'd probably have been more irritated if I had come across it randomly, rather than specifically going looking for it.

Um, and if it makes you feel any better, one of their people just got curbstomped:

(Fortunately the guy doing the stomping seems to have done that about as well as everything else his little group tries.)

Er, sorry if this isn't funny. I think gallows humor is the only humor left in politics at this point.
